If you're an NFL football fan, you'll love the newest version of Pro Predictor, which has additional features and many improvements. This file also contains the data files for the years 1987-1993 and the manual. Pro Predictor predicts the winner of each week's NFL games and the number of points. Has a seasonal accuracy rate of 65-75% (75% last year). At any time before or during the season it can project ahead and tell you who is likely to win each division, who will make the playoffs and who'll win the Super Bowl. First of all, let me say that is a complete application. Unlike some shareware programs I've seen of late, none of the Pro Predictor 2.1S routines are crippled and it isn't going to suddendly stop working after you've used it a specific number of times or when it reaches a certain date! However, it is a shareware application, which means that if you use it and like it, you're supposed to reward the programmer by sending in the shareware fee. Now, I know that most of you fully intend to send in the fee but before you know it the season's over and... In the meantime, however, you're missing the satisfaction of having sent in the fee and receiving the Register User's version. I figure for those who go to all the trouble of sending in the shareware fee, there should be something extra. So, when I receive the fee, I immediately send the Register User's version, which has several functions that the shareware version does not have. These include the following: 1. A Betting Module for picking winners against the "Vegas" odds. Last year, Pro Predictor's best bets agains the odds beat the odds 75% of the time and 83% of its underdog picks won! Even if you're not a betting person, it fun to see how you would do and how much money you would win. 2. Injury Reports. When a player sustains an injury, tell Pro Predictor the injured player's position and Pro Predictor will adjust the team's power points automatically. This will improve its accuracy in picking winners. 3. Archive Files back to 1970, the year of the NFL-AFL merger. Just set the Track Last Years to "all" and you'll be surprised at what you can learn about your favorite team. Who has the best W-L record since the merger?
